Colorless to light yellow oily liquid, not volatile, flammable, slightly oily taste. Can dissolve in ethanol, ether and other organic solvents, can not dissolve in water and glycerin, has permeability to the skin. The molecular formula is C19H38O2 and the structural formula is CH3(CH2)14COOCH(CH3)2. Widely used in medicine and cosmetics manufacturing raw materials.
