PEG/PPG-17/6 Copolymer (Esther-176) lubricants are used as base stocks for spin finish lubricants for man-made fiber production. The wide range of physical properties available gives the formulator of spin finishes freedom to choose the right lubricant for a given application.

Product Properties

Esther-176 offers the following combination of properties: 

1.Fully water-soluble 

2.It exhibits a cloud point. It is soluble in cold water but will separate out at high temperature. 

3.Low to high viscosity range 

4.Ease of application at controlled rates, due to carefully controlled viscosity and the wide solubility parameters – including water solubility 

5.Favorable combination of frictional properties for high processing speeds and stable package winds 

6.Clean burn-off, resulting in low accumulation on heater surfaces 

7.It is hygroscopic, helping to control static and lessen the severity of antistat requirements 

8.Control of polymer penetration due to the wide range of molecular weights and solubilities available 

9.Ease of removal of water-soluble UCON fluids in aqueous scouring; reducing finish associated dying problems 

10.The finish formulator can use Esther-176 to achieve an optimum balance of properties to meet downstream requirements in drawing, texturing fabrication and wet processing.

Product Applications :

It can be used as brightener and lightener for cream and lotion essence. It can also be used in styling and hair care products.

2.0-10.0%

Storage: Keep in dry and cool conditions, Resist freezing and light.

Period of validity: 1 year (5-35℃)
