Potassium Cetyl Phosphate (Esther-PCK)

Description :

Potassium Cetyl Phosphate (Esther-PCK) is a water soluble long chain organic phosphate ester supplied as potassium salt with powder form. It is generally used as a co-emulsifier with low HLB nonionics, and is completely non-irritating to skin. Esther-PCK is easily dissolved into the hot water during emulsion processing. Esther-PCK, at low use concentrations, will enhance the stability of emulsions and help to thicken creams and lotions. It can replace TEA-stearate in most preparations. Esther-PCK is ideally suited for use in personal care products, notably dermatological skin care products. Typical product use level is 0.5-5%. 

Properties and Applications :

⚫ Emulsion Stabilizer: -overcomes imbalances in HLB emulsifier values 

⚫ Easy to formulate: -hot water soluble. 

⚫ Easier to use than polyacrylic acid in emulsion manufacture, without dispersion, wetting problems or fish eyes in solution 

⚫ Provides a good rub out and pleasant soft after-feel to skin, but does not inhibit quick break emulsion properties 

⚫ Good skin after-feel. 

⚫ Easy to handle in manufacturing with powder form. 

Applications :

Creams, Shower Gels, Liquid soaps, Lotions, Personal wash products, Shampoos, skin care and sun care products etc.
