Silicone Oil-528 / Silicone Quaternium-22 And Polyglyceryl-3 Caprate And Dipropylene Glycol And Cocamidopropyl Betaine (Esther-Silicone 528) includes a high molecular weight silicone quat, which in its neat form is difficult to formulate with due to its high viscosity and which makes the creation of clear and stable formulations difficult to achieve. By incorporating this highly efficient silicone quat via a microemulsion (i.e. Esther-Silicone 528) into a conditioning formulation, a highly homogeneous and fine distribution in the final formulation is achieved. Esther-Silicone 528 provides outstanding hair conditioning properties. It improves significantly the combability of wet and dry hair, and leads to excellent manageability.

Applications :

Esther-Silicone 528 can universally be used in conditioning shampoos, hair rinses, balms, body washes and leave-in formulations. Esther-Silicone 528 is highly suitable for clear formulations. Additionally, Esther-Silicone 528 shows no discoloration (yellowing) in the formulations over time, which shows a clear benefit in comparison to Amodimethicones. Esther-Silicone 528 is highly compatible with anionic surfactants. By using Esther-Silicone 528 in combination with cationic polymers, additional conditioning effects can be provided, while at the same time, supporting the efficacy of Esther-Silicone 528.

Preparation :

Since Esther-Silicone 528 is clearly soluble in water, it is very easy to incorporate into conditioning formulations.

Shampoo:

Esther-Silicone 528 can be added at every production step, even a final addition is possible.

Conditioning Rinse:

Esther-Silicone 528 is added to the water phase.

Storage :

When stored under room temperature. Avoid exposure to extremely low and high temperature, which may cause frozen or deteriorate. If frozen, please don’t directly heated the products. Warm it slowly under room temperature with stirring. To ensure the product performance, please use up the material quickly after open, or screw up the cover tightly.
